CodeCraft by Chandan ("we", "us", "our") develops and publishes Vidya Sangam Pro (the "App"), a study app with chapter-wise solutions for Class 1 to 12. This Privacy Policy explains what information the App handles, why, who it is shared with, and the choices you have. It applies to the App on Android and to this web page.
01Summary
• You can study without an account. Sign-in is only needed for some materials.
• Your favourites, downloads and reading progress stay on your device.
• Comments you post in discussions are public to other students.
• Purchases are handled by Google Play. We never see your card details.
• Ads are provided by Google AdMob. We do not sell your personal information.
02Information that stays on your device
Favourites, downloaded study materials and "Read" markers are stored only on your device. Your selected class and medium, and settings such as night mode, are also stored locally. Uninstalling the App removes this data.
03Information we collect
Account (optional): if you create an account or sign in, Firebase Authentication processes your email address and password. We store your name and email address in our Firebase database to run your account. We never see or store your password in readable form.
Discussions: if you post a comment on a study material, we store the comment text, the display name you choose (or your account name when signed in), a device identifier and the time it was posted. Comments are visible to other users of the App, so do not share personal details in them.
Push notifications: to send notifications, the App stores a Firebase Cloud Messaging token together with a device identifier, device model name, platform, the time the App was last opened and, if you are signed in, your email address and account ID.
Purchases: when you buy Premium Content or Go Ad-Free, the App sends the purchase token to our server, which checks it with Google Play and records your plan, class band and expiry date against your account.
04Premium Content and Go Ad-Free
The App offers two separate subscriptions through Google Play Billing: Premium Content, which unlocks premium study material for one class band (Class 1 to 4, 5 to 8 or 9 to 12), and Go Ad-Free, which removes ads. Google Play processes the payment. We receive only the information needed to confirm your purchase, never your card or bank details.
05Advertising (Google AdMob)
The free version of the App shows ads from Google AdMob. AdMob may collect and use your device's advertising ID, IP address, device and app information, and interactions with ads to show ads, measure them, limit how often you see them and prevent fraud. In the European Economic Area, the UK, Switzerland and other regions where it is required, the App asks for your consent through Google's consent form (User Messaging Platform) before personalized ads are shown. You can reset or delete your advertising ID, or opt out of personalized ads, in your device's Google settings. 06Permissions the App asks for
• Notifications: to tell you about new study material and App announcements. You can turn this off in Android settings.
• Google Play Billing: to process Premium Content and Ad-Free purchases.
• Internet: to load study materials, sign you in, show discussions and ads, and check purchases.
07How we use information
We use the information above only to provide and improve the App, run your account and discussions, unlock the materials you are entitled to, deliver notifications, verify purchases, show ads, prevent abuse and respond to your requests. We do not sell your personal information.
08Third-party services
The App relies on these services, which process data under their own privacy policies:

09Data sharing
We share data only with the service providers listed above, who process it on our behalf to run the App, and when required by law. Discussion comments are shown to other users of the App. We do not share your information with anyone for their own marketing.
10Data security
Data is sent over encrypted connections (HTTPS). Access to our database is restricted by security rules so that you can read only your own account and plan data, and purchases can only be recorded by our server. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, but we take reasonable steps to protect your information.
11Data retention and deletion
Account, device, discussion and purchase records are kept while your account is active or while the App needs them. You can ask us to delete your account, your comments and all associated data at any time by emailing chandankumar.apt1@gmail.com from your account's email address with the subject "Delete my Vidya Sangam Pro account". We delete your data within 30 days of a verified request. Data processed by Google for ads or purchases is retained under Google's own policies.
12Children's privacy
The App is a study aid used by students, including students under 13. We do not knowingly require children to provide personal information: the App can be used without an account, and parents or guardians should help younger children with sign-in, purchases and discussions. If you believe a child has given us personal information, contact us and we will delete it.
13Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The latest version is always available in the App and on this page, and the "Last updated" date shows when it last changed.
